What types of lasers can be used?
Some types of lasers used to treat acne scars are erbium YAG lasers, carbon dioxide (CO2) lasers, and pulsed dye lasers. Each of these devices works in a specific way to target the type of scar you have.

After the laser treatment, you will need to be very careful about your skin care in the weeks and months to come. Your skin will be more at risk when you expose yourself to the sun.
It is therefore essential to apply sunscreen before leaving the house. You should also avoid tanning or other activities that lead to prolonged exposure to the sun for 6 to 8 weeks.
